We service most areas in San Diego
How do I schedule an appointment?
Submit an Appointment Request Form with your personal information and availability. We will get back to you within 1-2 days to get you scheduled as soon as we can
How do I pay for the lessons?
We charge $120/hour. Each lesson is 2 hours long. Each lesson is $240
You don't need to pay for the full 6 hours upfront. Just pay as you go
Acceptable methods of payment are cash preferred, checks accepted (made payable to Bonita Driving School)
Do I need a learner’s permit to schedule behind-the-wheel lessons?
Yes, you will need a learner’s permit from the DMV to schedule driving lessons
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes, if an appointment is canceled within 24 hours of appointment then there will be a fee of $40. Our instructors try their best to accommodate as many students as possible therefore please don’t cancel any appointments on short notice
Are the lessons available in Spanish or Tagalog?
Yes, we have lessons available in Spanish or Tagalog
Do lessons still take place of if it rains?
Yes, learning how to drive in rain is beneficial and should not be cancelled
TEEN DRIVERS
How many hours of behind-the-wheel training are teens required to take for the DMV?
Teens under 18 years of age are required to take minimum 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training from a DMV licensed driving school (3 lessons)
Can students take more than 3 lessons?
Yes, 75% of students take more than the minimum 3 lessons. In order for a student to drive safely and correctly we encourage taking more than 3 lessons
Do you provide a certificate of completion and is there an additional charge for the certificate?
On the final lesson we will issue you the certificate of completion for behind-the-wheel training (if the student is under 18 years of age). There is a $30.00 fee for replacement certificate in case the original is lost or destroyed
Is it necessary for parents to be present when students are picked up and dropped off?
No, it is not mandatory for parents/guardians to be present for first lessons or during pick up or drop off
Can the Instructor pick students up directly from school?
Depending on the location of the school it is possible for the instructor to pick up the student directly from school
Are the students allowed to miss school for driving lessons?
Yes, students are allowed to miss class for driving lessons. The parent must write a note and the student must drop it off with the attendance worker stating that the instructor will pick up their son/daughter for a driving lesson at the agreed upon time. The note must be signed and dated by the parent
